About YMCA Civic Engagement
Greater Philadelphia YMCA's Civic Engagement programs provide students with hands-on learning opportunities as representatives of the Model United Nations. They can test their leadership skills, explore professional development opportunities, and make friends from delegations with students from multiple different states.

We operate two programs for teens to enjoy: High School Model UN and Middle School Model UN. There's always room for more delegations, so find out how you can bring one to your school or YMCA!
Volunteer Led
Greater Philadelphia Civic Engagement Programs are lead in part by dedicated and passionate volunteers. These volunteers are crucial in planning a robust curriculum that challenges students to grow and is also fun for everyone involved!

If you are looking to be involved as volunteer we have multiple exciting opportunities for those who have an interest in building the leaders of tomorrow.
The Delegation Advisor will oversee and coordinate the Model UN Club with the support of the local GPY staff.
The Advisor will recruit, build, and support the delegation through weekly or bi-weekly meetings, presentations in classrooms and participating in regional events.
What do civic engagement programs look like?
