Mayuri Rajakaruna

Hello delegates! My name is Mayuri Rajakaruna and I am a junior from New Providence High School! I am so thrilled and honored to be your Lead Youth Secretariat for the 2025 MUN conference. My experience with the YS corps began my junior year where I had the privilege of being the YS Service Committee leader. I was able to work with the YS corps to carry out the “Letters to Refugees” service project where the entire conference wrote letters to refugees. I then was awarded the Curtis Meyers Servant Leadership Award, which was a true honor! One of my biggest passions in life is service and bringing communities together. My goal this year is to foster a YS Corps that will impact the lives of delegates in and out of the conference. Outside of this program, I am a Bronze and Silver Award Girl Scout medalist, a dancer at New Jersey School of Ballet, and a singer/violinist in my school’s music programs. I cannot wait to meet you all and bring all of our talents together to create an amazing conference! I encourage you all to bring your unique perspectives and talents to the YS Corps. By acknowledging each person’s unique skill set, we will all be inspired by one another and then able to come together and create a successful conference. Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is the beginning; Keeping together is progress; Working together is success.” I cannot wait for all of us to come together and create success.
